Andrew K. Thompson lives and works in Riverside, California. Thompson holds a MFA degree in Studio Art and Design from the California State University, San Bernardino, a Certificate Degree in Art Business from New York University and a BFA in Photography from the Academy of Art, San Francisco. His interest in authenticity and materiality has led him to create palpable, sculptural photo-objects. Andrew's new series, New Landscapes, consist of chromogenic landscape prints that he has chemically "attacked" and then "healed" via needle and thread as a symbolic statement on the human role in climate change. GALLERY 1/1 is excited to be the first in the PNW to show this work.
