One-of-a-kind Photographic Prints

GALLERY 1/1 is the only fine art gallery in the US that specializes exclusively in unique photographic prints. We are excited to present artists making hand-crafted one-of-a-kind prints. Our artists combine a fresh contemporary approach with a variety of methods and mediums including alternative processes, experimental and historic darkroom techniques to create some of the most exciting and authentic photographic prints in the contemporary art world.

Featured Artist
Robert Flynt

Robert Flynt's work has been widely exhibited in the United States and abroad since 1980. He has been shown in major museums, galleries, and alternative spaces, as well as in collaborative performance and dance projects. Robert's influential male nude study prints are held in permanent collections of many prestigious institutions including the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).  GALLERY 1/1 is excited to present a selection of Robert's new photographic based monotypes. His subject matter continues on the male body and the yearning and anxieties it engenders along but the new focus is the counterpoint of eroticism and structure, both organic (anatomy, botanical) and man-made (architecture/mapping).  Robert will be a featured artist our exhibition The Male Gaze.

The Hand - A Magazine for Reproduction-Based Art is dedicated to being the world’s premier forum for innovative and experimental uses of reproduction-based media. We are interested in how artists include their own hand in the art object while utilizing mechanical or reproduction-based techniques. We are interested in publishing any and all forms of photography and printmaking; whether the work is strictly a photograph or print, or whether the work incorporates these processes in a sculptural, multi-media or collage format.

The Hand is a non-profit print magazine published four times a year out of Kansas City, MO by photographer & educator Adam Finkelston along with co-editor and designer James Meara.
